Apophia Atukunda
Programs Manager
Dr. Apophia Atukunda is a result-oriented, an Environment and Natural Resources Management (ENR) specialist with a strong value system and high sense of integrity and accountability. She is a Corporate and Public Governance enthusiast with special interest in Programming, Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Transformational Leadership.
Having worked in the ENR Sector for over two decades gathering experience in government, private sector, and NGO spaces, she brings onboard a diverse wealth of management experience acquired through her work with government agencies like UWA and NEMA, multiple NGOs and INGOs like ASARECA. Dr Atukunda has also consulted with World Bank among others.
She holds a Doctoral Degree in Transformational Leadership from Bakke Graduate University, Dallas, Texas, USA, a Master’s degree in Agriculture (specialising in Agroforestry), and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry.
She also holds a Postgraduate Diplomas in EIA (Nkumba University) and Business Administration (Uganda Management Institute), and she is a member of the International Association for Impact Assessment, Uganda Association for Impact Assessment, and IUCN’s World Commission on Protected Areas. She is an Oakseed alumnus of the Institute for National Transformation (INT), having completed the Oak seed Executive Leadership Program.
Dr. Atukunda, is a Bible scholar and teacher, an avid reader interested in knowledge building and spiritual growth movies.
