Gloria Birungi
Communications Officer
Gloria describes herself as “East Africa’s communication enthusiast eager to apply her gifts talents and abilities to transform Uganda’s communication scene and practices.” She brings 10 years of cumulative experience in communications management, and strategic organization partnership coordination.
Her keen focus is cooperating communication, branding and public relations, knowledge management, strategic partnership coordination, resource mobilization, website and social media management, digital documentation, and leading national behavior change campaigns. She’s previously employed the same competence across initiatives in livelihoods, climate justice, and health, women, and youth engagements.
Gloria’s work experience also covers aspects of policy advocacy and formulation and working on social issues like helping to increase clean energy access to rural communities, and financial inclusion for women and girls in Uganda.
Gloria has successfully executed this work for organizations such as CARE International in Uganda, USAID’s Power Africa Uganda Electricity Supply Accelerator, Uganda National Alliance on Clean Cooking, Worldwide Fund for Nature Uganda Country Office, GIZ, and the Parliament of Uganda among others.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Makerere University Uganda and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication from UCU Mukono.
