Mr. Duli is a forester and landscape ecologist by training. He has served in the sectors of forestry, wildlife, energy, and water for the last 35 years. He retired last year from the Worldwide Fund (WWF). Previously he worked with the forestry department of the government of Uganda for 11 years before joining the NGO sector under CARE International and posted at the Queen Elizabeth National Park where he worked for three years.

David moved on to start the WWF office in Uganda as a Projects Officer and continued to develop it and grow it into a fully-fledged country office with diplomatic status. He worked for WWF for 22 years before retiring in 2022.

David was excited about upgrading to the mainstream Board of Trustees. He has been serving as an advisor to the Board of Trustees for the last three years. He expressed that he knows a bit about the work of UBF.  He was privileged to have visited some UBF projects and advised as necessary. In his previous employment, he had done a lot of work, building community institutions around protected areas.
