Ms. Margaret Barihaihi Musana
Margaret is a sustainability expert, benefiting from over 20 years of experience in program design and management.For 15 years providing specialized technical and high-level policy advice to more than 20 African countries working closely with regional bodies including Africa Union Commission, COMESA and EAC among others. Margaret offers proven expertise and knowledge in the fields of natural resource management, biodiversity conservation (protected areas, ecosystem services), early-warning systems, climate change adaptation, climate finance, resilient technology development, and gender and governance analysis for policy influencing.
She has worked a diverse of international organizations, development partners, and global think tanks including IUCN, CARE, USAID, World Vision, Oxfam GB, DFID, EU, The Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Overseas Development Institute (ODI), Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and the Climate Development and Knowledge Network (CDKN) among others. She holds a Master’s in Sustainability (Environment and Development) from the University of Leeds in the UK and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Makerere University in Uganda.
