Stakeholder Review Meetings from the EU-Funded Project

In February, the Uganda Biodiversity Fund (UBF) organized two highly successful district and regional review meetings for the EU project. The meetings were attended by a total of 72 participants, including District Technical Planning Committee members, representatives from Civil Society Organizations, and Settlement Commandants, among others. The district review meetings were held in Terego, Yumbe, Kamwenge, Kikuube, and Kyegegwa districts, while the regional meetings were held in Arua and Fort Portal.

As a result, the meetings generated a project exit and sustainability plan that will ensure the EU project’s closing is done well and the sustainability of project investments beyond the life of the project. The meetings’ success can be attributed to the training benefits that the participants received, such as enhanced knowledge sharing and networking opportunities. The UBF is proud of the success of these meetings and looks forward to continued progress in biodiversity conservation efforts in Uganda.
